Is there a brand name i should stick with as far as spools, it seems like the detroit is the common as far as lockers

I just ordered a full steel spool from Randys R&P and dont believe there was a brand name.It was like 125.00 @ the time I got mine several years ago.Dont get a AL one or the one with all the holes drilled in it.Those are for the go fast guys only trying to save weight.

I had a mini spool in my eb when I got it, Chirped all the time and ate up tires.
I swapped to the detroit and have loved it. I do plan on putting the mini spool into the budget bronco, simply because I have it. You can weld the spider gears and make a poor mans spool. But I have broken these and unless you realy cant afford a mini spool I dont recomend it.
I also realy dont recomend putting a spool in the front, you will brake shafts or joints for sure.

A spool may be a bit harder on stock axles alsoConfusedcratchhe: Don't ask how I know...
